In my 20s, I began to realize that many people around me were struggling with mental health. This aroused my curiosity and also how this project began. For a period of 3 years, I explored complex states of mind and emotions that I knew little about. The result was an audiovisual project consisting of 4 pieces of cinematic music and an experimental art short film about Schizophrenia and the psychiatry in the 70's in Stavanger, Norway.

For this EP I have gathered inspiration from 4 different human states of mind such as temperance, melancholia, psychosis and schizophrenia. The music is performed by a multicultural team of local musicians.

What is psychosis?

Psychosis is a serious mental disorder where the person has lost touch to "reality". During a psychotic episode, a person may experience symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, persecution ideas and mood swings. A psychosis can come suddenly or it can creep in.
